Create something uniquely GYG. It must encourage their growing following to order online and engage on social media.
To help spread the word through socials, the product had to be:
- Bright
- Memorable
- Easily delivered beside their one-of-a-kind food.
BACKGROUND:
Since day one, GYG has been obsessed with making delicious Mexican food using only the best quality, fresh produce. Everything they do ensures the brand is authentic to its core and reflects their values to the last detail.
GYG’s mission to reinvent fast food has earned them over 200 restaurants in four countries, selling over 500 burritos an hour to over 800,000 customers per week.
Already united by the love of delicious, good-for-you food, GYG took it one step further and created a community around their brand with branded merchandise and their promotional campaign products.
OUTCOME:
Guzman y Gomez have given away over 400,000 pairs of socks since 2018!
Originally given away with every Deliveroo or app order of $40, and more recently for every $25 spent on the app. We’ll let you do the math, but let’s just say that the ROI is more than worth it.
But the return doesn’t end there.
What began as a limited run promotion has turned into a much anticipated, recurring annual campaign. The hype is built on social media months in advance, generating engagement, conversation, shares and referrals while loyal customers wait for the socks to drop.
With a cult following, GYG is more than a Mexican kitchen. It’s a thriving community with an engaged audience that is eager to consume the unique content and on-brand promotions, as well as the fantastic food.
